When Playwright Mike Dowling wrote Random Acts, he created some of the characters specifically for State of Play members. We now have the opportunity to reprise those roles with a new tour of Western Massachusetts in May presented by The Chester Theatre Company. After rehearsing at the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York with Mike Dowling we will continue in Massachusetts with the production’s original director, Byam Stevens. The new tour is a warm-up for a planned run of New York City area schools as part of our 2009 season. Roles being reprised include: Chloe Demrovsky as the “wicked popular” Jackie Metcalf, Adam la Faci as the star athlete Mark Mooney and Jyll Mihlek as “freakshow” Kairin Brewer. Loren Vandegrift plays the trouble-maker Davis, Michelle Concha is the uber-motivated Anna Hallaway and Mat Bussler plays the awkward Tim Reilly.
