LINA SARRELLO is a Cuban/Italian actress, singer, dancer, and writer. Originally from Miami, Florida, Lina holds a Master’ s degree from Florida State University in Latin American Literature and Linguistics. She started her career as a Musical Theatre performer, touring around the country, before making the move to New York. Lina performed and wrote for Latino-flavored Productions from 2002-2008. She has had plays and monologues showcased at several theater festivals as well as winning an award at the Asi Somos Festival for bilingual writers in 2009 and having her play, Life Could Be Un Sueno, produced at the LaTea Theater. Her short film, The “ Talk…” was also featured at the BORI M I X Film Festival last fall. Lina is very glad to be a part of State of Play and exploring continued growth in her writing career.

FIDEL VICIOSO (Director) is an Actor/Producer who has been working in the business for the past 15 years. He is presently the voice of Dora the Explorer’s Father, Papi on Nickelodeon. He has an extensive array of work in Theater, Film, and Television, working with artists such as Miriam Colon, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeffrey Wright, Lisa Vidal, and John Singleton. Fidel has cast several films, commercials, and industrials in NYC over the past 5 years. He first produced The Woman From Columbus Circle in 2007, which won 2nd place for best short film at the New York International Latino Film Festival. He also cast and co-produced Pinchos y Rolos, a musical comedy, which was presented at several Film Festivals including the Cuban Film Festival, in Havana, in 2008. Fidel is proud to embark on directing How to Date Blindly, and collaborate with State of Play Productions on this exciting project.
